For our nextĀ Lucky Tiles Supper Club, we're going somewhere a little different.

We've teamed up withĀ The Thorny Fruit Co., a Sydney-based durian specialist bringing inĀ whole Musang King from Malaysia.

Come spend a morning or afternoon to experience two of Asia's most iconic things - durian and mahjong.

This one is for the durian curious, the durian obsessed, and anyone who's ever wondered what all the fuss is about.

We'll eat, learn a little more about the fruit, hang out with good people and, once the durian has been thoroughly enjoyed, get the mahjong tiles out for a few rounds.

šŸŒ±Ā Durian 101:Ā Get to know the fruit a little better - where it comes from, what makes Musang King special, and why people love it so much.

šŸ’›Ā Eat, chat & hang out:Ā Come on your own or bring your friends. We'll spend time eating durian, chatting, then play a few rounds.

šŸ€„Ā Mahjong provided:Ā Once we've had our fill of durian, we'll bring out the tiles for some relaxed games.

Frequently asked questions

Refund Policy

Refunds are available up to 2 days prior to the event. If you're unable to attend after the refund period, you're welcome to transfer your ticket to a friend by clicking "Manage Order" in your confirmation email and updating the attendee details there.
I'm new to Mahjong or HK point-scoring style

We have instructional materials, but also feel free to check out this amazing youtube video that goes over the basics. For players who know the basics already, here is a great intro to points.

Learning is also more fun with newbies. When you buy ticket, we will ask about your level. Later at the event, we will group newbies together and there will us around your tables help guide you along the way.
What style are we playing?

For casual players, our default game is HK style (with points) because it's fun! However, people are welcome to play any style agreed by their table. If you would like us to try a different style, please let us know! We have tried Sichuan style before and it was heaps of fun!
Can I bring my own set?

Feel free to bring your own set, weā€™ve got some available too if youā€™d prefer to use ours!
