This month is a special one for us as Lucky Tiles is turning two!
What started with just one table in our little apartment has grown into dozens of tables, across different places and cities. It's pretty amazing to see how far we've come. Thank you for being part of Lucky Tiles.
So, of course, we have to celebrate!

We hosted our first ever Mahjong Dating event! Nearly 80 people came through the door, and honestly? We felt the love in the air. Huge thanks to the team behind the scenes who pulled it together, and to everyone who showed up. We're already thinking about round two. |

Thu 24 Sep — Melbourne Mooncakes & Mahjong
Melbourne can’t miss out on the fun! We’re bringing Mooncakes & Mahjong to Temple Arden for the first time. Come join us for a night of mahjong, mooncakes, and good vibes.

It all started two years ago in Auckland, with one little table, some mooncakes, and a group of friends who wanted to play mahjong together. Last year, we brought Lucky Tiles to Sydney. This year, we’ve made our way to Melbourne. And now we’re celebrating two years with even more tables, more cities, and more people around them. From that first table to where we are today, it feels like a full circle moment. |

There are a few reasons! The round shape of lanterns echoes the full moon, a symbol of family reunion and togetherness. Their bright lights are also believed to bring good luck and chase away bad vibes, welcoming health and prosperity. |
Traditionally, lanterns could also serve as a light to guide family members home. And for children, making and carrying colourful lanterns is simply one of the most fun parts of celebrating together. ✨
